Our Practical Nursing Program
- Practical Nursing Program
This program offers the specialized education required for students seeking to pass the NCLEX-PN exam. Upon successful completion of the program and the NCLEX-PN exam, you’ll have the skills and confidence required to enter the workforce as an entry-level practical nurse.
- Medical Assistant Program
Medical assistants are essential to the healthcare field, and they require a diverse skill set. Our program helps students prepare for a career by providing both clinical and administrative education. An externship is also required, offering a chance to gain hands-on experience prior to graduation.
Those who are passionate about caring for others and enjoy working in a collaborative team environment can put their strengths to good use as a Practical Nurse (PN). Working under the direction of physicians, registered nurses (RNs), and other healthcare professionals, PNs provide care to people who are sick, injured, or disabled in a variety of settings, including hospitals, medical clinics, doctor’s offices, senior care facilities, and more.
Prism Career Institute’s Practical Nursing program equips students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in this line of work. These students are also required to complete a clinical training experience with an approved healthcare provider. Plus, our curriculum prepares graduates who meet all State Board of Nursing requirements to take the NCLEX-PN exam. Students must pass this exam to work as an entry-level licensed practical nurse.
Please note: This program is available at our Philadelphia, Cherry Hill, and Egg Harbor Township campuses.
Our Medical Assistant Program
Medical assistants play a vital role in providing care for patients while ensuring their place of employment runs smoothly, efficiently, and successfully. Depending on the size of the employer and the work environment, medical assistants may be tasked with a wide range of responsibilities, from taking vital signs and performing electrocardiogram (EKG) tests to handling various administrative tasks.
Our Medical Assistant program trains students in a clinical setting so they can learn what to expect when entering the workforce. Students are required to participate in an externship prior to their completion of the program to gain resume-building experience that will benefit them on their job hunt.
Please note: This program is available at our Cherry Hill and Egg Harbor Township campuses in NJ only.
